BritWeek got off to a kicking start last Saturday night when Genlux Magazinefashion editor, filmmaker and photographer Amanda Eliasch threw a Brit-bash at her West Hollywood hillside home just above the Sunset Strip.
Where along with British fashion designerPam Hogg, fashion, opera and art came together!
Amanda’s usual crowd creatives such fashion designer and one half of the ‘Nikki-Rich’ clothing brand Nikki Lund (pictured right) gathered together for a no-expense spared bash held at her West Hollywood hills mansion.
The chiccy poolside soiree had breathtaking panoramic views of Los Angeles, a burgundy crocodile, stirrup-dangling bench and not forgetting the hot pink piano that was to wow for!
Live performances came courtesy of Lisa Zane (sister of actor Billy Zane, who was also in the mix of celebrities in attendance), and Charles Eliasch, Amanda’s uber-talented son.
Charles and Lisa appear (and sing) in the hostess’ Amanda’s recently completed movie, “The Gun, the Cake and the Butterfly.”
Amanda told the British Weekly: “I am so proud of this night, it’s all gone so well. Pam is one of my favorite designers.”
Among the British artists in the house — and whose work was on display throughout it — were Duggie Fields, Nigel Daly and Yassi Mazandi.
The performance beside the pool was followed by a fashion show over and around it, as models clad in London designer Hogg’s body-hugging, color-blocked clothes walked a water-spanning runway bridge in pieces from the designer’s spring collection.
Hogg’s creations were a fitting choice for Brit Week, which celebrates all that is British in the City of Angels.
In the past the celebrated designer has dressed tons of rock ‘n’ roll style icons from the 1980s to today, including recently, A-listers Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Kylie.
All in all the night flowed without a hitch as most of Eliasch’s parties often do… This woman is really making a name for herself among tinseltown’s elite…
