Mutant rats invade Liz Hurley’s mansion

Ex-model Elizabeth Hurley apparently shrieked with fear when she saw a giant mutant rodent in her living room earlier this week.

Liz-HurleyLiz had some friends and family staying with her over Easter and it was then the terrified star took to Twitter to share her pest control plans to launch ‘operation vermin’ after seeing rats running wild.

She said: “My mum on her way round with her two killer cats. I’m having a stiff drink.”

She added: “Operation Vermin started early this morning.

“On my hands and knees looking for evidence.”

Later the star posted: “Thank you for all your rodent killing advice…taking it all on board. Have declared war on them.”

“My mum on her way round with her two killer cats. I’m having a stiff drink”

The star has two homes in the UK and splits her time between posh Donnington Hall in Herefordshire and a swanky west London flat.

Her country mansion was reported to have cost a whopping £6million when she bought it with her former lover, Aussie cricket legend Shane Warne, two years ago.

Rat sightings have been on the rise in Herefordshire after winter flooding drove the critters from their water-filled holes. Hereford Council said there had been more than 1,000 calls about rodents in recent months.

Andy Luck, senior pest control officer, said: “The council is receiving inquiries from residents who have not previously had rats inside their properties.

“When the sewers flood, or there is a higher volume of water than normal, rats tend to move above ground.”

By Liz seemed calmer, tweeting: “About to go for a l-o-n-g walk with house guests and dogs.”

Liz has my sympathies; the poor girl has had more than her fair share of rats in her life!
