The UKares Foundation was honored to be the beneficiary of a special event held on December 10th as Lythgoe Family Productions kindly donated tickets to the preview evening of the fantastic pantomime Sleeping Beauty and Her Winter Night at the Pasadena Playhouse. VIPs enjoyed the best of British Cadbury’s chocolate nibbles while enjoying this fast-paced, highly entertaining best of British traditions, Panto!
Guests included British singer Julia Fordham who has just returned from a sell-out UK tour and her daughter Marley; Stella Vaughan (widow of legendary crooner Frankie Vaughan) and their son Andrew Abelson; Richard Sheldon (Oscar nominee and star of Emmerdale Farm and Paulette Ivory (star of the Lion King and Elton John’s Aida). Lucy Lawless was flawless as the evil fairy and joined guests after the show for some laughter and photos. Singing, dancing, jokes a-plenty made this a good old fashioned, feel good, fun evening – Oh yes it did!
