Get ready, zombie lovers! “The Walking Dead” is nearly ready to stagger back into your living rooms again. Brace yourselves people….

British star Andrew Lincoln was recently chatting about the show’s midseason premiere that hits our screens on Sunday, and he says people should be prepared for both the best and the worst – meaning some of the best episodes ever, yet some of the worst conditions for the survivors. EEK!

Lincoln is currently the man of the moment when it comes to post-apocalyptic US horror TV shows and acting in general.

Lincoln’s big break came almost two decades ago as the conflicted lawyer Egg in the British TV drama This Life. He also starred in the Richard Curtis rom-com Love Actually before snagging his career-defining role as Rick Grimes, the former cop turned leader of a band of survivors battling to stay alive in the post-apocalyptic zombie drama.

Lincoln said that the midseason premiere and the episode next to it are his favorites, “This back eight is my favorite back eight we’ve done since we started the show, for many reasons….mainly because it’s almost like a reset.

“We get to reimagine and sort of dial back some of the characters. And we meet so many new people. It’s sort of a wild rabbit hole that we all go down, and I think the storytelling is phenomenal.”

“I think Episodes 9 and 10 are two of my favorites,” he says. “They’re brutal. They’re incredibly emotional, and I think there will be a lot of surprises along the way. Be prepared.”

He went on to say, “Don’t count on anything you’ve seen before when it comes to the midseason premiere, what happened and what’s going on is very different.”

OMG…Roll on Sunday!

The Walking Dead returns on AMC on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. ET.
