BABC hosts Silicon Beach breakfast

The British American Business Council is highlighting the growing importance of Santa Monica as a tech hub this month by hosting a Breakfast event titled: “Doing Well By Doing Good: How Millennials are Creating Technologies that have Business and Social Impact.

Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, 
101 Wilshire Boulevard. Speakers include Ajay Chadha, CEO of Partiqal, a boutique social media company that collaborates with brands and creators to entertain audiences. He co-founded Mega City Games, an early forerunner of the Netflix and Gamefly business models, and first company of its type in the UK. He also co-founded Planet Distribution, a prominent independent distributor of console, hardware, software and gaming products; and Ignition Entertainment, a worldwide publisher and developer of software games.

 Also speaking will be Katie Gerber, who has more than 13 years of public relations experience in the technology, video gaming and entertainment industries, and manages public relations campaigns in 451 Marketing’s Los Angeles office; Cooper Harris, (pictured, left) CEO & Founder of Klickly, a one-touch social giving platform, which enables customers to instantly connect with causes championed by their favorite brands, celebs and nonprofits; and 

Sharon Amezcua, co-founder of ESE Partners and ESE Fund, an LA and London-based future financial services company and associated private equity fund that builds and invests in emerging and established companies in targeted sectors across the world. She previously built and publicly listed a global boutique merchant bank through which she and her team created and/or funded over 500 emerging technology companies.
