WITH Britain’s general election drawing ever closer party leaders are trying harder than ever to get down with the youth of today. And what better way to tap into a certain celebrity family’s countless millions of followers than to drop a hint that you share the same bloodline….?

camdashian-useIt seems it’s not enough for David Cameron to merely be a Eton-educated blue blood, he has now revealed that he is also connected to showbiz royalty – yup, he is related to the Kardashians.

Oo-er!

Yes folks, it’s true – Britain’s leader is a distant relative of Kim K and Co, who is best known for breaking the Internet by baring her sizeable butt and her sex tapes.

In an interview with celebrity magazine Heat, Mr. Cameron confirmed the unlikely connection.

Asked whether he watched Kim and her family’s television show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’, Mr. Cameron replied: “No, but I’m related to them.

“Did you know I’m 13th cousins with them?”

“That’s close isn’t it?”

The magazine then asked if he watched the show he said he didn’t – before adding he would be up for a family reunion.

According to a genealogy website, the link is via a mutual ancestor, Sir William Spencer, born in 1555 in Oxfordshire.

It is widely known that Kim’s mum, Kris, has Scottish ancestry.

So too does Mr. Cameron, whose father was born in Aberdeenshire.

In fact, the PM made a point of promoting his Scottish heritage during the independence referendum last September.

He said at the time: “My surname goes back to the West Highlands.

It’s unclear, but aside from reality TV royalty Cameron also has some pretty famous other relatives: the Queen of England. Even though he doesn’t watch KUWTK, Cameron insisted he would enjoy a family reunion.

“That would be great, thanks,” he said when asked if he’d want to participate in one.

The British Prime Minister unintentionally made waves when he posted a selfie on Twitter while on the phone with President Barack Obama, so it’s safe to say he’s relatively in tune with popular culture!

And who said the Tories could never end up as a rump party?!
