Oh what fun: The Beatles in A Hard Day’s Night

by Franz Amussen

One of the best-kept secrets of summer in Los Angeles is the Cinespia movie nights at the wonderfully atmospheric Hollywood Forever Cemetery, located at 6000 Santa Monica Blvd, between Gower and Van Ness in Hollywood. This Saturday (July 11th) has a great screening of the classic Beatles movie A Hard Day’s Night (Directed by Richard Lester, 1964, 87 min.). Tickets are $15 and gates open at 7.15pm with the movie showing at 9pm.

Capturing the enthusiasm, energy and comedy of the Fab Four in the early days of Beatlemania, this mod masterpiece ushered in the swinging 60s around the world and pushed the band to worldwide fame. Energetic, fun and hilarious, Hard Days Night will make you fall in love with The Beatles all over again. Best of all, it’s one of the few local venues where you where you are allowed to pack alcohol in your picnic!

There are just a few tickets left for tonight’s screening – grab them whilst you can.
