Famed for her androgynous looks and unique style, Tilda Swinton has done a complete 360 when it comes to her latest movie role.

tilda-swintonSwinton is known for her short platinum locks, pale complexion and amazing cheekbones, so we did a double-take when we saw the British star’s dramatic transformation for her latest role in the new Amy Schumer movie Trainwreck, rocking LONG dark blonde hair and fully made up, looking more like a 35 year-old.

Oo-er!

It’s a huge change for the actress who played a vampire alongside Tom Hiddleston in Only Lovers Left Alive, and a villainous turn in the train drama Snowpiercer. And who can forget her “witchy-faced” role as the Queen in The Chronicles of Narnia? In Trainwreck, Tilda takes on the role of Dianna, who works at S’nuff magazine, and her character has been likened to Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada, played by Meryl Streep.

In an interview with Huffington Post recently, Tilda talked about her makeover for the movie.

“I’m delighted to say that I’m unrecognisable,” she said. “I don’t know whether one would really want to be recognizable in this role.

“It’s a lot of makeup and a kind of tandoori tan and a wig, and that’s all it takes.”

She then added: “But the truth is there are a lot of women walking around rocking Dianna’s look, and I suppose you maybe didn’t ever expect to see me in it.”

Train wreck directed by Judd Apatow is currently playing in the US to rave reviews and hits British cinemas on August 28.
