“I quidditch!” might be something Emma Watson‘s saying behind the scenes, as news spreads that the Harry Potter starlet is quitting acting after her latest film was a box-office disaster… Oo-er!

Emma-Watson-768x1152The former child star is stepping back from the movie industry for a while so she can focus on her campaigning work and avoid embarrassments after her latest film Regression made a measly £243 per cinema in takings.

In a snooty new interview, the beauty explained her decision was so she could focus on her “own personal development” and, er, start her own, um… book club!

Emma said: “I’m taking a year away from acting to focus on two things.

“My own personal development is one. My own personal task is to read a book a week and also to read a book a month as part of my book club.

One thing I am going to do that I’ve been working on for a while is completing my yoga Level 3 meditation for teaching.”

Watson has been increasingly vocal in the world of feminist activism after launching the successful “HeForShe” campaign.

Now she has revealed she was nearly tempted to go back to university.

She said: “I almost thought about going and doing a year of gender studies, then I realised that I was learning so much by doing my reading.”

Emma is so advanced these days that she is becoming a wizard herself.

In an interview with famous American author, feminist and activist Gloria Jean Watkins, better known by her pen name bell hooks (sic), Emma added: added: “It almost feels like the chemistry and structure of my brain is changing so rapidly sometimes. It feels as if sometimes I’m struggling to keep up with myself.”

Emma’s star has fallen significantly since her heady days at Hogwarts cheering on Daniel Radcliffe on the quidditch pitch as clever-clogs witch Hermione Granger.

The eight-blockbuster franchise made £5billion worldwide and turned her into one of Hollywood’s hottest properties.

But with her next film Colonia looking doomed to go straight to DVD, Emma’s last hopes of more box-office glory before bowing out will be opposite Tom Hanks in The Circle and with her turn as Belle in a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast next year.

Hope she won’t be too busy at book club to attend the premiere… Just sayin’…
