I want to know where to get the best Liver & Bacon in LA – I am a little tired of fish & chips being on every British menu – the only place I know that serves a decent plate of L & B is one of Hollywoods’ oldest restaurants,  Musso & Frank (6667 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028) so please send me your recommendations to eileen@britsin.la and I will gladly check them out.

Foodie fans must come and join us for our weekly Breakfast Club at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood – they honestly do serve one of the best Full English Breakfasts in town – although I am on the fence with their tea-making skills, their coffee is excellent!

Everyone is welcome and we really do have people from all walks of life and all ages – it is a great way to make new friends without all the fuss of an evening event. Sandra Cowley shared a great photo of our beloved Mayor of Breakfast Bernard Skibben with one of our younger members – enjoying the latest issue of the British Weekly!

If evening events are more your thing we have our bi-monthly Pub Quiz at the Pikey with the dynamic quizmaster team of Rob Pait & Marina Paganucci on Tuesday April 26th – full details can be found on our Facebook page. If you need a team to join get there for 7.40pm. Not all questions are British based; red-blooded American Mr Pait will make sure of that! The Pikey are actually listed as one of the best places to get Fish & Chips in LA too, so come hungry!

Britweek is almost upon us too – starts April 23rd through to May 8th;  lots of flying of flags all over SoCal – make sure to visit britweek.org for their full calendar of events. I am really looking forward to attending the Mr Musichead British Invasion Exhibition on April 26th , tickets are free but make sure to RSVP asap as it is bound to sell out – info can be found on the Britweek site.

Lots of other amazing British themed events from Shakespeare to Street Art – if you are participating and have an event you want to promote to our British community drop us a line at britsinla@gmail.com.

We also want invite you to participate in our weekly Meet a Member feature – you don’t have to be British or have a glamorous job, we want to share your story with our members. If you are up for it or would like to nominate someone else contact us at britsinla@gmail.com for more details.

Look forward to hearing from you, especially those of you with Liver & Bacon recommendations!

Cheers!
