Time to get your Grolsch lager bottle tops and Dr Martens Shoes out folks, as 80’s duo Bros have announced they are reuniting and hitting London’s O2 Arena to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Oo-er!

brosTwins Matt and Luke Goss, one of the biggest boy bands in the 1980s, revealed the big news at a press conference this week with Emma Willis.

Luke said of the reunion: “I’ve always wanted it to happen in my heart but I wanted it to be the right time. This is a dream come true.

“I think the fans deserve something that will stand up today. I’m like a big kid right now, I’m pinching myself. I’m very excited.”

However, everyone was pretty certain the duo would be there in person when the new was publicized at a top secret event earlier this week.

Instead, a silhouette of two men – one wearing a hat – was issued before the press conference, and fans of the duo figured it out immediately. Bummer!

Still, no-one knew they’d be taking on the O2 next August.

The band said they have no plans to release new music ahead of the shows. “We’re going to honour the songs, some of the key sounds,” said Luke.

“But at this stage, I don’t want to populate the show with new stuff. If it was to happen again [after that] then maybe so.”

Bros started as a trio in 1986 with Craig Logan, who left the band three years later.

Logan quit the group at the height of their fame after suffering ME. He later became a successful music mogul, managing the likes of Sade and Tina Turner and playing a key role in the success of Robbie Williams.

The brothers said he was “welcome” to return. Matt said: “I’m very proud of Craig’s success but we started the band in school and Bros is Matt and Luke, without question.”
