Johnny Marr, the legendary British guitarist and songwriter who found fame with seminal 1980s band The Smiths before embarking on a critically-acclaimed solo career, will make a rare local appearance next month to promote his new book Set the Boy Free.
Marr will read from his book and participate in a Q&A with KCRW DJ Jason Bentley on Wednesday, November 16th at the Vista Theatre, 473 Sunset Drive (close to the junction of Sunset Boulevard and Hillhurst Avenue) from 9am. Tickets are available from brownpapertickets.com for $35.00 each plus service fees. The ticket will include a copy of Set the Boy Free, which will be released November 3. There also will be a signing following the Q&A. Only books will be signed, and photographs will not be allowed.
