Pop singer Liam Payne has sparked rumours he and ex- Girls Aloud star Cheryl Tweedy have secretly wed after he described her as his “wife” in a recent US radio interview.

While joking about a popular burger chain, the 23-year-old singer said: “I left my wife and child at home and I was straight out to In-N-Out Burger.”
Liam, who is busy promoting his new solo material in the US, also spoke to Sirius FM about being a dad.
The couple welcomed baby son Bear back in March. Recalling the day after the birth he said: “I did all the first day’s worth of nappy changes, because [Cheryl] was so tired, she slept more or less.
“All day, there was no poo. I was like this is great, I can handle this.”
But then Cheryl, 33, woke up to the baby crying at 5am and wanted to change his nappy.
Liam said: “I was like ‘Go on babes’, this was her first ever nappy change. So he poos for the first time, of course he does.”
“Secondly, sprouts off (wees). I’m looking at him thinking this didn’t happen to me all day.
“That’s so unfair. She had to give birth to him and she was the one who got weed on first.”
Liam also revealed he and Cheryl had both selected Bear’s middle name – Grey.
“That was multiple choice, that was together. It was going to be James, because my middle name is James, but I prefer Grey.”
Liam has recently been forced to leave Cheryl at home with the baby to complete promotional duties in the US.
But he’s making sure he’s in constant touch with his ‘missus’. The former One Direction star said: “We’re always FaceTiming and the other day he (Bear) smiled at me for the first time, it was so special.
“I just want to spend every moment with him but she (Cheryl) is so great, she does everything on her own, she’s been amazing.”
