Meet A Member: Gabriel King

Not all BiLA members are British, some are Anglophiles. Meet Gabriel from San Francisco who moved to LA 10 years ago.

Was there a particular reason you chose LA?

I was born in LA but moved away very young. I knew this was always the place for me and moved back when I had a chance.

What do you miss most from home?

The Golden Gate Bridge

What was your first impression of LA and has it changed since?

Lots of beautiful people and lots of parties. It’s the same, but I am less impressed these days.

What do you find the biggest difference is living here versus San Francisco?

Everyone here is connected to the industry. There are less cliques and more culture.

Do you have a hidden gem in LA that you want to share with us?

Larchmont Blvd!

What would you suggest to others who are thinking about making the move here?

LA has great weather and everything you are looking for. It’s all about who you know.

Lots of our members join our group Brits in LA seeking out words of wisdom, what is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Networking is the best way to get anywhere!

Lastly, how can we find out more about you? Are you working on anything at the moment?

I am an experienced masseur and have recently launched my own business  Gabriel King Massage. Visit my website gabrielkingmassage.com. Mention the British Weekly or Brits in LA for 20% off your first massage OR a free body scrub – your choice.
