How fabulous…Patsy Stone and Edina Monsoon ride again for the first time in seven years!
After it was announced back in April that the beloved comedy Absolutely Fabulous was returning for three new episodes, Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders were spotted filming scenes for a Christmas special last week on Bond Street in London.
It only seems like yesterday when this out-of-control duo were causing a complete riot falling out of chauffeur-driven limos after downing one too many Bolly-Stolis, and wreaking havoc around Harvey Nichols while shopping up a storm.
The award-winning sitcom first hit our screens in 1992 and now, with all its regular cast members including Julia Sawalha and June Whitfield, it is returning for a festive edition and two further specials.
It’s great to see Saunders back on set too; the actress fought and won a battle with breast cancer last year after finding a lump in her breast in autumn 2009. Thankfully the lump was caught early and she has made a full recovery after having it removed… That’s another good reason to pop open the champers, sweetie!
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to celebrate the return of the outrageous pair, ‘Ab-Fab’ was by far one of the best comedy shows on British television. I just hope their long-awaited comeback doesn’t disappoint the fans!
