PASADENA: Opera A La Carte – a non-profit national touring company specializing in the works of Gilbert & Sullivan – is hosting a Victorian garden party featuring lively Gilbert and Sullivan entertainment on June 9, 2012, at Neighborhood Church (301 N Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena).
In addition to some classic British light opera, the company will be providing appetizers and refreshments and hosting a silent auction and raffle.
Following the “a la carte” theme, a selection of Gilbert and Sullivan favorites will be raffled off, enabling the audience to choose from a menu of selections to pick their own musical meal.
Victorian attire is encouraged and a professional photographer will be on hand to commemorate the occasion.
Appetizers and mingling begin at 5 pm, and the entertainment starts at 6 pm.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.operaalacarte.org/events for $30, or at the door for $35.
