Harry Potter star Emma Watson has confessed in a new interview with U.S Glamour magazine that she tries to avoid dating famous men. The actress explained that the thought of being in a showbiz couple puts her on edge.

Posing in a sexy shoot, wearing a Stella McCartney bra beneath her Zadig & Voltaire coat and Nina Ricci dress, the British starlet states: “I try not to (celebrities). It definitely makes me nervous.

“I haven’t tried to make other celebrity friends or date people who are in my industry. It can be really superficial. I’m lucky that most of the people I’ve dated I’ve been at university with.”

Emma also admits men do not like her short, pixie-hairstyle, claiming: “I have to [grow it out] for roles, but if I had it my way, I would have just kept it short forever. Of course, men like long hair.

“There’s no two ways about it. The majority of the boys around me were like, ‘Why did you do that? That’s such an error’. And I was like, ‘Well, honestly, I don’t really care what you think!’”

However, Miss Watson adds: “I’ve never felt so confident as I did with short hair – I felt really good in my own skin.”

Emma stars in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which hits cinemas September 21.

Glamour’s October issue is available now digitally, and on U.S newsstands next Tuesday.
