Brit Louise Roe Replaces Elle Macpherson as Host of NBC’s Fashion Star!

 Fashion favorite Louise Roe has just landed the mother of all jobs on primetime U.S television.

  Roe, a former fashion blogger for Vogue will be replacing Elle Macpherson and serving as the new host of NBC’s Fashion Star.

Macpherson announced back in June she would not be returning to host Season 2, but will continue to serve as an executive producer on the show.

Of “new arrival” Roe, Macpherson said: “As executive producer of Fashion Star I’m really excited by our choice of Louise as host for the second season, I think her presence will energize and surprise.”

Roe, 30, is best known to audiences stateside for hosting the popular akeover show Plain Jane, currently in its third season on MTV. Louise also helped co-anchor ABC’s pre-Oscars show earlier this year and regularly hosts fashion segments for Access Hollywood.

Louise told me: “Fashion Star is an absolute dream job. I can’t wait to start filming – this is such a fantastic and innovative format and I’m excited to be a part of the new season.”

Fashion Star’s celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson,John Varvatos and Nicole Richie will all be back for the competition’s next season, scheduled to air on Sunday nights January, 2013.
