I knew Simon Cowell was just a tad bit vain, but this takes the biscuit!
The X Factor supremo has a new facial regime, which is apparently the answer to staying young. And this one really outdoes his pearly whites, the botox and regular perma-tans he allegedly already has.
It’s being reported now, that Si’ is getting regular sheep placenta facials.
I thought he’d been looking a bit sheepish lately…
The facials, made from stem cells from specialized New Zealand-reared sheep, cost a staggering $500 per treatment, which Si believes will rejuvenate his tired 52 year-old skin.
A source close to the music mogul said: “Simon is forever trawling the health and beauty market, looking for all the latest fads.
“He’s tried vitamin injections, drips, detoxes, smoothies, Botox and massages, but after reading rave reviews about placenta facials, decided he had to give them a go.”
The facial even carries a gold standard as it is smeared on in a gel mixed with 24 carat gold flakes. The treatment is carried out at celeb favorite the Beverly Hills Lancer dermatology clinic.
During the procedure, Simon’s face is exfoliated for 30 minutes and beamed with an LED light to open up his pores.
According to Dr Lancer no animals are hurt in the treatment; he told the paper: “The stem cells are full of rich nutrients and the cells we harvest are amniotic, which means no harm is caused to the animals.”
Thank god for that… We know animal lover Simon wouldn’t want anyone suffering for his looks, right?!
Victoria Beckham and Donatella Versace are also said to be fans of the procedure.
