So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley and Irish comedian Patrick Kielty secretly tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Italy last weekend… just nine months after they first started dating.
They wed at the picturesque St Isidore’s College chapel in Rome on Saturday to everyone’s surprise, as it was only back in August that Patrick, 41, insisted he and Cat, 35, had no plans to marry anytime soon.
The couple, otherwise known as “PatCat” – got hitched in Rome giving their families just day’s notice of the hush-hush event.
Deeley and Kielty fell for each other after being friends for many years; they first met back in 2002 while working on the BBC talent show, Fame Academy.
Guests were offered complimentary flights to Italy on Friday and Saturday and Patrick’s parish priest, Father Gary Donegan jetted to Rome from Belfast to officiate.
Sources said yesterday: “It was a beautiful ceremony, just close friends and family.
“We only found out at the last minute. It was a really perfect day. They’ve been pals for ages and we all just wonder what took them so long.”
The pair became engaged recently after Patrick moved into Cat’s £1.7m Beverly Hills home.
