Great news for X Factor U.S fans, FOX have just confirmed the talent show will be returning for a third season.
Fox exec Mike Darnell elaborated in a statement this week praising the show’s development since Britney Spears and Demi Lovato joined the judging panel.
He said: “This season, Simon [Cowell] and the producers of The X Factor took an already strong show and made it absolutely fantastic.”
He added: “The format changes are working, the contestants are unbelievably talented, and Britney and Demi – alongside Simon and LA [Reid] – have brought an incredibly fun new chemistry to the judges’ panel that our fans really love.
“We feel great about the show and I’m thrilled to bring it back next year for season three.”
Even music supremo Simon Cowell had something to say about the news. His official Facebook page post read: “I wanted you guys to be the first to know that FOX have confirmed that @TheXFactorUSA will be back next year for its third season.”
Cowell, who sits alongside LA Reid, Spears and Lovato on the judging panel, later added: “I couldn’t be happier about The X Factor already being renewed for another season.
“I am so proud of the show and the team who have made it this season. I want to thank our incredible sponsors for their support and creativity, and Fox for going out of their way to do everything they can to make this show a success.
“Most importantly, I have to personally thank our amazing fans for the support and enthusiasm they have given to The X Factor.”
The live shows start in the current season on November 1, when Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian will be seen hosting on the main stage.
