More British success stories in tinseltown!

This bit of joyous news has just pinged its way to my ears, that former EastEnders actor Rob Kazinsky is set to join the cast of hit U.S vampire series True Blood.

The 28-year-old, who played Sean Slater in the top BBC soap, will play a faerie named Ben, a highly charismatic faerie who takes a liking to Sookie (and vice-versa) and helps Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) delve deeper into the mystery of their parents’ murders.

Kazinsky starred in EastEnders from 2006 and 2009 and also has a lead-role in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming sci-fi film, Pacific Rim.

The actor took to Twitter to confirm the news, joking in one of his tweets: “The True Blood news has garnered me an extra 100 followers and that’s really all that matters in life”.

The sixth series of HBO’s True Blood, which is based on books by Charlaine Harris, is set to begin in June 2013.

Well-done Rob!
