Daniel Craig: “I’d Quit 007 if I could”

Even though “James Bond” star Daniel Craig has confessed many times in recent interviews to loving playing the role of suave super-spy 007, the actor revealed that at one point he was desperate to hand in his “license to thrill” — but film bigwigs wouldn’t let him.

The new installment Skyfall just grossed a record-breaking $87.8 million in its opening three days on this side of the pond, making it the most profitable debut of any of the 007 films.

Still, the 44-year-old Brit says he has had enough.

He said: “I’ve been trying to get out of this from the very moment I got into it.

“But they won’t let me go, and I’ve agreed to do a couple more.”

He added: “But let’s see how this one does, because business is business and if the s*** goes down, I’ve got a contract that somebody will happily wipe their ass with.”

$87.8 million? I’d say there’s no chance of them releasing you from Bondage anytime soon, Daniel.
