I hear Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle is set to have her unbelievingly lucky life story hit the silver screen.
The 51-year-old ex-Britain’s Got Talent contestant has just returned from a trip to the U.S, where pen met paper in what sounds like a major megabucks deal that will turn Susan’s life story into a feature length Hollywood biopic.
She said: ‘‘My story will make a great film. We are in the middle of negotiations just now for a film about my life.”
And which actress does she want to play her? “There’s only one person I’d love to play me – and that’s Julie Walters. She would do the job and you just know she would do my story justice.”
Filming will begin sometime next year and apparently the I Dreamed A Dream singer has already decided who she wants to play her manager… um, wait for it… George Clooney…
She added: “It’s wishful thinking. But it’s Hollywood… anything can happen.”
I guess she’s right; who would have thought Susan would have reached the dizzy heights of success she already has? Based on that, I’d say Clooney is not beyond the realm of possibility!
