I hear Bear Grylls is set to make a telly comeback, hosting a new reality show, for the Discovery Channel re-enacting true survival stories…
Coupled with archive footage and interviews with survivors, the former SAS man and survival expert will recreate some of the desperate challenges people have faced around the world in the six-parter.
Bear will then pit himself against the same dangers – reliving their dilemmas through risky first-hand experience.
Whether it’s a plane crash in the Amazon, icy crevasses in the European Alps or the North African desert, Bear with navigate through the most hostile areas of the earth to demonstrate the skills needed to make it back to civilization and safety.
Bear said: “Man vs. Wild (broadcast as Born Survivor in the UK) took me to some of the toughest climates and terrains out there.
“This new series is an exciting evolution of that.
“The aim is to follow incredible real-life survival stories and demonstrate dynamic life-saving know-how along the way.”
Ultimate Survivors will air on the Discovery Channel later this year.
