British funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen has become the richest British actor in Hollywood.
The comic-turned-actor trousered over $36 million in the last year, thanks to his box office successes withThe Dictator, Hugo and Les Misérables.
Sacha also banked a big pay cheque for providing the voice of lemur King Julien in Madagascar 3.
Recently, he took the crown of highest-paid Brit in the movies from Twilight star Robert Pattinson.
But, despite earning more than such A-listers as Tom Hanks ($27 million) and Brad Pitt ($22 million), the actor wasn’t included on Forbes’ annual Celebrity 100 list because he wasn’t considered famous enough. Oo-er!
The rundown of powerful figures in Tinseltown was topped by Tom Cruise, who was paid a whopping $62 million last year for his roles in Jack Reacher andMission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.
