I was thrilled when I heard that my favourite Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, British-born Lisa Vanderpump is joining the 16th Dancing with the Stars cast this coming spring!
Lisa’s celebrity has truly gone from strength to strength in the U.S since ‘RHOBH” started back in 2010; so much so, she even landed her own spin-off series, Vanderpump Rules, which I loved!
Rumor has it that “Real Housewives” stars across the board—including Gretchen Rossi, Heather Dubrow, and Teresa Giudici – have allegedly been campaigning to get on the hit ABC reality show, but were told that “Real Housewives” would never appear on ”DWTS”.
Well, Lisa’s gone and changed all of that…
A source told RadarOnline earlier this week: “A lot of the women are furious.
“There are a lot of egos that have been bruised and a lot of cast members truly believe it should of been THEM, and not Lisa selected to compete on the show.”
The source added that some women even went so far as to ask, “Who did Lisa sleep with to get on the show?’”
Oo-er… How shocking!
Vanderpumps’s pal, the beautiful Brandi Glanville, didn’t try to hide her jealousy when she heard the news that her reality co-star was cast. She jokingly tweeted: “Lisa Vanderpump I can’t sleep & although I’ve known & am a tiny bit jelly.”
Brandi later added:”@LisaVanderpump ur gonna be so busy on #DWTS I will look after @KenToddBH I’m so happy for u.”
Bravo star, Vanderpump, (pictured with me, above left) will be paired with pro dancer Gleb Savchenko for the upcoming “DWTS” season — she herself took to Twitter to talk strategy.
She tweeted: “Well being honest, I am going to need a lot of help, luck, support and a few glasses of rosé to even get started. #stiff asanoldboard.”
Go Lisa, Go Lisa, Go Lisa… I cannot wait to see how my fellow Brit’ fares!
Season 16 of Dancing with the Stars kicks off on March 18 on ABC.
