Not content with an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a bunch Grammys, Adele is set on world domination!
Cosmetics giants including Estée Lauder, L’Oréal and Dior are all fighting it out to make the singer the face of their new skincare ranges that could land Miss Adkins a big fat pay-check for around $17million!
In the past, Adele has always had a negative stance towards endorsement deals, but who could say no to that huge chunk of change?
A source said: “Adele is in big demand. She would only accept if the campaigns were to her taste and incorporate her music.
“The last thing she wants is a cheesy ad with a naff catchphrase.
“They would have to be in keeping with her personality. It’s going to take a lot of persuasion to get her to agree but, right now, it looks as if she’s close to signing a deal.”
You can’t blame the star for contemplating these big money offers…despite banking a whopping $35million from the incredible successes of her albums 19 and 21.
Adele has previously slated fellow stars for taking up similar beauty deals, saying that she was concerned endorsements could “taint” her image.
She told G magazine in 2011: “It’s shameful when you sell out.
“It depends on what kind of artist you wanna be, but I don’t want my name anywhere near another brand.”
She added: “I don’t wanna be tainted or haunted. I don’t want to be in everyone’s face. I’m a big music fan and get really pissed off when it gets like that. I don’t want people to get like that with me.”
So um, I guess we won’t be holding our breath for an Adele-endorsed tinted moisturiser anytime soon then. Hmm, I wonder!
