Telly host Steve Jones appeared to have it all, er, a couple of years back… Hayden Panettiere, Pamela Anderson and a plum job as Simon Cowell’s bitch frontman on the X Factor U.S.
Now, I hear that’s all a distant memory and Steve is back in the UK with his tail between his legs.
The pretty boy was spending most of his time here in Tinseltown hoping he would land another big break after being unceremoniously dumped by Cowell in favour of Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian. But alas, this was not on the cards for Steve.
The former star recently returned to the UK for a stint on Comic Relief and after getting a few work offers back in Blighty he’s heading for safer shores to capitalize on his slim pickings opportunities.
And, I hear his model girlfriend Phylicia Jackson might join him, however, this is uncertain as of yet as she loves LA, I’m told.
A source said: “There’s a bit of humble pie being eaten. Things haven’t worked out there, but Steve gave it a good go.”
Hmm, well if you ask me, I’d say he was getting on a bit for a return to T4… Just sayin’
