Jaime Murray was ready for her latest role as an alien because she says she felt like an OUTCAST after moving to America.
The British actress got pulses racing when she appeared in the buff in the Showtime serial killer drama Dexter, said people often didn’t understand her when she arrived in Los Angeles.
Jaime, 35 – now playing Stahma Tarr in new Syfy series Defiance, set in the year 2046 had to learn a completely new language for the part of an extra-terrestrial, she said: “Everyone things England and America are the same as we have the same language.
“But I felt like an alien as an English person living in America.
“Sometimes I would say things and people would look at me as though I was mad.
“Now I have close friends, they tell me they have no idea what I’m talking about, so I do have some insight into what it is like being an alien!”
Well, it seems her move to the States is working out rather well for her… Jaime recently finished filming horror flick Fright Night 2 and has a number big projects in the pipeline. Not bad for a small-screen actress from across the pond!
