It appears that even Dame Helen Mirren can’t resist the charm of former soccer star David Beckham – as she cozies up to the footie legend at a birthday party for the Queen, earlier this week.
The veteran actress, 68, got up close to the England ace as they posed for photos at the star-studded bash held in honour of Her Majesty in Shanghai, China.
The pair had previously met an awards ceremony back in 2007. And it seemed they are old pals, chatting away happily at the after-party.
David, 38, was looking rather dapper in a black suit and tie while Helen wore a black lace dress over a yellow slip and matching belt… Not designed by David’s wife Victoria Beckham!
The Queen actress is in China for the Shanghai Film Festival, where she is promoting her latest movie Parker.
Beckham has been in the country since Monday helping to change the face of football.
