robert-pattinsonOriginally, I thought this was an unlikely campaign but after seeing Robert Pattinson’s Dior Homme ad, I was pleasantly surprised… I liked it!

The one-minute, eight-second video titled “The Film” was has finally been released in its entirety after being posted on fashion house Christian Dior’s YouTube channel last week. The “Twilight” alum sizzles in the black-and-white short.

The young British actor was named the face of the men’s fragrance back in June, joining the ranks of Dior’s A-list celebrity spokespeople: Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, Eva Herzigova, and Jude Law to name a few, who have all promoted the brand’s fragrances.

The campaign was shot by American photographer Nan Goldin and French director Romain Gavras and they’re meant only for European and Asian markets that exclude Great Britain, China and Japan, according to Dior (via WWD).

However, they are very visible in those places and here, thanks to a little thing called the Internet.

In the video, the 27-year-old lazes about fully clothed in a bathtub, runs on rooftops, drives fast cars on the seashore, jumps in a pool and messes around with French model Camille Rowe. All this – set to the tune of “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin – for no other reason than to sell a men’s fragrance.

Pattinson explained that he was he was initially “terrified” and “scared” to shoot the Dior campaign’s short film, the actor says he signed on because “I wanted to do something different for me.”

“Doing something that is quite mainstream but also edgy fit into where I want my life to go,”explains Pattinson.

Rob goes on to call the final result – released last week – “visceral, “quite wild,” and “hopefully pretty sexy.”

And who exactly is the “Dior Homme man”? Pattinson says, “The Dior Homme man is I think someone who’s just a little bit wild.”

“[He] does whatever he wants, is a bit of a free spirit, not really scared of anything, can be whoever he wants to be,” says the movie star.

Dior was also sure to share its official ad hashtag “#DIORROB” at the end of the video for those who feel the need to share the campaign via social media.

Ouch, I say… Verrry sexy!
