Rob-K-on-Conan_edited-1It’s always nice to see fellow Brits making it big in the states… and former Eastenders star Rob Kazinsky has done just that!

Kazinsky, who made his name starring as Sean Slater in the hit BBC soap revealed on top U.S talk show Conan that he became a recluse and stayed at home playing video games.

Speaking to Conan O’Brien, he said: “This show made me a particular agoraphobe. I couldn’t walk down a street or look anyone in the eye.

“It made me afraid to see people and there is an ugly side to fame. People would walk up and punch me in the head.

“They’d walk up to me and hit me or they’d throw stones when I was in the street, or I’d be having dinner with my parents and they were either hurling insults or bread rolls. It was a fun time.”

Rob is set to star in the forthcoming adaption of World of Warcraft – the game that he turned to when he became a recluse.

“That was when I found World of Warcraft, 18 hours a day, just sat there in my pants ordering Chinese food. I put on about 50 pounds,” he added.

Rob is one of the few British soap stars who have made the transition from the small screen to the big.

He starred in the TV show True Blood and films including Pacific Rim and Hot Pursuit.

Rob now lives in LA and has been cast in US sitcom Second Chance.

He admitted: “I have a wonderful life now.”

I would agree with that Robert, my son!
