No 1D reunion: Liam’s solo career comes first!

Pop singer Liam Payne has scuppered hopes of a One Direction reunion because he is so focused on his solo work, which includes a big TV show.

Oo-er!

Liam spilled the beans this week, saying: “My album comes out at the end of the year and then I’m going on tour in 2019.”

Rumours are emerging from the US that Liam has also signed up for a big US talent show. He teased: “I have fun doing TV, and I have fun doing music, I want to do both!”

Earlier this month, the British star headlined his first New York City concert as a solo artist. Ahead of the sold-out Chase Sound Check show at the Beacon Theatre, where he discussed his solo success after One Direction’s disbanding.

The star said: “I will always want to do music, it’s just that I had so many opportunities come my way and I felt it was just such an amazing time to go and spread my wings and experiment with different types of entertainment.

“It’s amazing that we’re doing our own thing and then, hopefully one day soon, we get back together and have another great time of it, who knows?”

Don’t be surprised if Liam ends up on a spinning chair or judging panel soon.”

In the past year, Payne has released five smash singles, including “Strip That Down,” “Bedroom Floor” and the Fifty Shades Freed duet “For You” with Rita Ora.

He also became a dad, welcoming son Bear in March 2017 with girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy.
