Local BABC chapters resume live events

WITH THE LONG, LONG, lockdown finally starting to ease it feels as though we are all coming back to life in so many different ways. For the British business community, the return of live events with the local chapters of the British American Business Council is a very welcome development.

     The BABC in Orange County will hold a special ‘Welcome Back Business After Hours’ event on Wednesday June 23rd fromo 6-9pm at the beautiful Newport Beach Yacht Club, located at 1099 Bayside Drive in Newport Beach.  At the Council’s first live event in over a year guests can enjoy a cocktail and complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drink in the stunning views from the yacht club.      The following day, Thursday June 24th from 6-8pm the Los Angeles BABC will host an exclusive Garden Party at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, in anticipation of the re-opening of the US-UK borders, Virgin Atlantic style.

     In what is billed as ‘an evening of giveaways, signature cocktails and lots of fun surprises’, guests can network with members and friends of the BABC LA, including special guests from Virgin Atlantic, the USA Olympic Rugby Team and the UK Department of International Trade. There is valet parking, a live DJ in a beautiful outdoor setting. MC will be TV personality Carlos Amezcua and the event will feature special remarks by British Consul General Emily Cloke.
