Restaurateur Lisa gets a taste of fame’s downside

When Lisa Vanderpump (love that name) uttered those now famous words: “In Beverly Hills it’s who you know, and I know everyone,” there was someone she didn’t know… the idiot who verbally assaulted her at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Christmas Eve.

Roger Eduardo Talavera, allegedly harassed the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star while she was enjoying lunch with friends at the hotel’s restaurant The Polo Lounge and he now faces felony assault charges.

It went down, according to showbiz website TMZ, something like this…Vanderpump and LA TV reporter Robert Kovacik were partying early on Christmas Eve, when Talavera aimed a barrage of taunts at the reality star before punching Kovacik in face after he asked Talavera to stop his tirade.

After the incident Talavera, whom Vanderpump described as “extremely drunk,” went on the missing list for a day or so before surrendering last Tuesday and plead not guilty. He was charged with felony assault with intent to commit great bodily harm after Kovacick required stitches.  Talavera was released on $30,000 bail and now faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

Lisa is one of my favourites on RHOBH and I love little Giggy. The impression she gives on the show is that she prefers to avoid conflicts and drama of any kind. That might well be true, but why then does she go and sign up for a show that is full of it? Still the poor girl doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment, regardless of being part of a show that simply goes looking for trouble within its cast members.

And as for Roger Eduardo Talavera, what a silly boy, didn’t he realize Lisa “knows everyone!” as if he was going to get away with trying to make a mockery out of momma Vanderpump!

Still, I can’t help but think that poor Lisa has just had a taste of the downside fame!
