BYE SI: Cowell quits UK X Factor to focus on US version!

[adrotate group=”9″]

As Simon Cowell continues his process for choosing the judges for the new American version of The X Factor, he recently informed ITV, the network that broadcasts the popular UK version of the show, that he will not be judging the next series of the UK televised talent competition, according to the Daily Mail. Despite ITV executives’ attempts to persuade Cowell to maintain his on-screen presence on the UK X Factor, reportedly offering him a private jet to fly him back and forth across the Atlantic Ocean as he works on the American edition of the show, it appears that judging both versions is not viable for the star-maker.

Sources close to Cowell have also indicated that health concerns have discouraged the showbiz tycoon from trying to judge both shows simultaneously.  A friend of Cowell’s revealed: “Everyone in his family is worried about his stress levels, he barely sleeps and has got a lot to juggle at the moment.”

This news comes after Cowell previously insisted to the contrary that he would in fact judge both versions of The X Factor. There has been no official announcement regarding who might replace Cowell as judge of the celebrated ITV program. It appears that Simon himself only has enough of the X factor for one country at a time.
