Cat Deeley Misses British Fashion in LA!

Brit presenter Cat Deeley was recently spotted shopping at a farmer’s market in Brentwood and, judging by her outfit, she’s feeling more Californian than British. Deeley showed off her legs in a pair of denim short-shorts that she contrasted with a half-buttoned green top.

Although Deeley is blending seamlessly into the California lifestyle, the host of So You Think You Can Dance recently revealed to The Guardian that one thing she misses about her home country is the fashion.

Deeley explained: “No one beats the British high street, and UK fashion designers such as Stella McCartney, Christopher Bailey and Matthew Williamson are in a league of their own.”

The celebrity’s next big opportunity to show off her love for British fashion will be at the upcoming Emmy Awards, where she will be in contention for the award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Programme for SYTYCD.

Speaking about what she will wear on the red carpet, Deeley said: “It’s definitely going to be something, but it’s not going to be dead-swan Bjork, Native American Cher or ballerina Lara Flynn Boyle, because I might never get nominated again. And if this is my only time I don’t want to look back and go, “Oh, my God – what was I thinking?”

The blonde Brit added: “If I was nominated again I’d be like, “Hey, great. I’ve done the classic – now let’s really shake them up”. Then I’ll be fun. But until I get through this first one and then maybe if I get the second one, who knows? Hawaiian? Belly dancer? I don’t know!”

So You Think You Can Dance has become a hit in both America and in the UK, and the presenter is thrilled it has had such an impact. Regarding the programme, she said: “It’s about celebrating talent and passion and hard work. The American dream is alive and kicking.”

She declared: “You can be from any race, colour and creed. If you have a talent and you’re prepared to work hard, you can be anything you want to be.”

Cat appears to be living proof that the American dream is, as she says, alive and kicking.

Keep living the dream, Cat!
