At first glance I thought this picture of Missing star Sean Bean was a bad snap of Katie Price (aka Jordan) … though clearly, Bean is just as outspoken as the ex-glamour girl.
The respected actor caused quite a few red faces on The One Show in the UK this week after declaring he’d had his whole body waxed, well that is, all except for his, er… “c***”.
Bean was on the BBC1 magazine show (which airs around 7.00pm) to promote his new drama Accused, in which he plays a transvestite.
Referring to his part in the series, Bean declared his entire body was waxed to bring authenticity role.
As he spoke, Bean blurted out: “There’s certainly a lot to do, isn’t there? I had a full body wax. Well, almost…they didn’t do me c***!”
Clearly embarrassed by Bean’s, um, cock-up, the show’s hosts Alex Jones and Matt Baker were left squirming after hearing the salacious anecdote.
Jones and Baker swiftly moved on to another subject, but viewers had already noticed the slip-up and many took to Twitter to discuss the gaffe.
One fan of the show wrote: ‘OMG! Did you see that?! Sean Bean said c*** on the one show! Matt Baker’s face is brilliant!!’
Another added: ‘Poor Matt & Alex like rabbits in headlights.’
A Sean Bean fan then tweeted: ‘Beano! What a legend! Always good to see someone make middle-of-the-road presenters look uncomfortable live on TV’.
The second season of “Accused”, which raked in 5.3 million viewers after it was launched on British television earlier this week, also stars Christopher Eccleston, Mackenzie Crook and Andy Serkis.
A BBC spokesman said after Sean’s comment: “We apologise for any offence that was caused by this remark.”
