I’ve heard it all now… Apparently, Russell Brand is said to be smitten with Geri Halliwell, AKA “Ginger Spice”!
What a pair!
The couple met weeks ago at the summer Olympics closing ceremony, when Geri reunited with the other Spice Girls and we saw Brand go all acid-trippy-Wonka-Godspell meets the Beatles.
Since then they have been inseparable… Er, allegedly…
A close source to Russell said: “Things are getting very serious between them – they’re a proper couple now. They had met several times in the past, but really got to know each other during the Olympics.”
He added: “People thought Russell was joking at the time, when he said he had a crush on Geri all over again, but it was true. They just clicked – they have so much in common.”
Another pal revealed: “He ended his relationship with Isabella Brewster, and is now dating Geri properly. They’ve exactly the same sense of humor and are serious about clean living.”
Neither 37-year-old Brand nor 40-year-old Halliwell have confirmed their union as of yet. Although I did leave a message on one of Gerri’s MANY cell phones to get some first hand juice, but still haven’t heard back from her…
I anxiously wait. I know Ms. Halliwell loves reading this column too!
