{"id":19179,"date":"2016-04-30T13:56:23","date_gmt":"2016-04-30T20:56:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.british-weekly.com\/?p=19179"},"modified":"2016-05-07T11:04:13","modified_gmt":"2016-05-07T18:04:13","slug":"noel-gallagher-makes-oscar-bid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.british-weekly.com\/?p=19179","title":{"rendered":"Noel Gallagher makes Oscar bid!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seanborg.com\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-16505 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.british-weekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/sean-borg-final.gif\" alt=\"sean-borg-final\" width=\"216\" height=\"39\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Former Oasis rocker\u00a0Noel\u00a0Gallagher\u00a0is getting closer to his Oscar dream after teaming up with a soundtrack great.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Irish electronic musician and composer\u00a0David Holmes, who has scored hit movies including\u00a0Ocean\u2019s Eleven, is producing the singer\u2019s next solo album.<\/p>\n<p>Oo-er!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-19195\" src=\"http:\/\/www.british-weekly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Noel-Gallagher.gif\" alt=\"Noel-Gallagher\" width=\"216\" height=\"346\" \/>Now the hope is that Hollywood bigwigs will use his new material for a movie and get Noel that\u00a0Academy\u00a0Award nod.<\/p>\n<p>An insider told me:\u00a0\u201cWith David\u2019s influence, getting the music on to a film soundtrack stands a very good chance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>British\u00a0stars\u00a0Adele, 27, and\u00a0Sam Smith, 23, have nabbed an Oscar in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>And the elder Gallagher, admits he\u2019s a bit jealous.<\/p>\n<p>He said recently: \u201cIt would be nice if I could\u00a0write\u00a0a song for a film which would win me an Oscar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Due out next year, the rock legend called his new solo music\u00a0\u201cf***ing brilliant\u201d, dashing any lingering Oasis reunion hopes.<\/p>\n<p>Producer David, who is up for an Ivor Novello Award, recently remixed Noel\u2019s <em>Chasing Yesterday<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>And Noel explained:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m\u00a0working\u00a0with a producer in a way I\u2019ve never worked before which is writing in the studio and my producer\u2019s suggesting jumping off points.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe end results are pretty good at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Can\u2019t wait to hear the results!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; Former Oasis rocker\u00a0Noel\u00a0Gallagher\u00a0is getting closer to his Oscar dream after teaming up with a soundtrack great.
