This news leaves me shaken and stirred, but according to sources,\u00a0Daniel Craig\u00a0has turned down a \u00a368 million offer\u00a0(around $90m!) to play James Bond in two more movies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 48-year-old actor – who has portrayed\u00a0007\u00a0in four films – has\u00a0rejected the huge offer and told bosses he is\u00a0\u201cdone\u201d\u00a0playing the suave super-spy.<\/p>\n

Oo-er!<\/p>\n

\"daniel-craig\"It\u2019s thought the whopping deal would be made up of profit shares, endorsements and a role as co-producer.<\/p>\n

A Los Angeles film source told the Daily Mail<\/em>:\u00a0\u201cDaniel is done – pure and simple – he told the top brass at MGM that after Spectre. They threw huge amounts of money at him, but it just wasn\u2019t what he wanted.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had told people after shooting that this would be his final outing, but the film company still felt he could come around after \u2018Spectre\u2019 if he was offered a money deal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hollywood actor\u2019s future as Bond has been the subject of much speculation in recent months. Just last week, British actor\u00a0Tom Hiddleston\u00a0was spotted meeting with Bond director\u00a0Sam Mendes\u00a0AND producer\u00a0Barbara Broccoli\u00a0in London \u2013 fueling rumors he could be the next 007.<\/p>\n

An onlooker said at the time:\u00a0\u201cAt first it was Barbara, Tom and another good looking young man. Then Sam Mendes joined them at about 11pm and they stayed until around 1am \u2026 There was lots of laughter; they all looked to be having a very jolly time.\u201d<\/p>\n

This prompted some bookmakers to suspend betting on Tom taking on the role next, but the actor insisted earlier this month that he hadn\u2019t been offered the part and wasn\u2019t aware that Daniel \u2013 who is married to actress\u00a0Rachel Weisz\u00a0\u2013 had hung up his Bond tuxedo.<\/p>\n

He said:\u00a0\u201cThe thing is, the position isn\u2019t vacant as far as I am aware. No one has talked to me about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the rumors have all come about because in the \u2018Night Manager\u2019 I play a spy and people have made the link.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Daniel \u2013 who has starred as 007 in\u00a0Casino Royale,\u00a0Quantum of Solace,\u00a0Skyfall\u00a0and 2015\u2019s\u00a0Spectre\u00a0\u2013 said he would\u00a0\u201crather slash [his] wrists\u201d than portray the spy again, but later admitted he would do another Bond movie \u201cfor the money\u201d.<\/p>\n

He also threw his Bond future in doubt when he signed up for 20-episode US TV series\u00a0Purity.<\/p>\n
